GBSA basketball season enters second half

The following is a recap of Weeks 4 and 5 of the Gulf Breeze Sports Association's basketball season:

Week 4 7-8 Coeds

Barnes 19, Taylor 11

Alyssa Scott had 11 points for Barnes, while Macey Hicks had four, Jordan Barnes two and Logan Turner and Alanna Zambetti one each.

Andres Candela had five points for Taylor and Jake Molina had four. Jacob Pettijohn had two points.

Thompson 18, Grace 6

Taylor Kehoe had six points for Thompson, while Connor Thompson had four and Alec Walter, Jake Weldon, Cole Sheppard and Emily Hoeflich all had two points.

Bo Fabbro had four points for Grace and Olivia Spann had two.

Stringfellow 8, Hoskins 7

Brian Joyner had four points for Stringfellow, while Will Cross and Luke Stringfellow had two each.

Owen Hayes had four points for Hoskins, while Braden Fiveash had three.

Hawkins 12, Larsen 10

Megan Hawkins had six points for Hawkins, while Eric Czeck had four and Casey Warford two.

Nicholas Myers had six points for Larsen, while Sarah Callahan and Madison Demotts had two each.

9-10 Girls

Ferrara 18, Rockett 11

Christina Ferrara had 10 points for Ferrara, while Katrina Espenscheid had six and Laura Riney two.

Amanda Holder had four points for Rockett, while Katherine Hess, Natalie Rockett and Aspen Lee had two each and Natalie Neff one.

Clark 20, Crowdis 1

Savannah Nixon had 12 points for Clark, while Emily Delp had four and Abigail Friedland and Alex Karchur two each.

Jessie Droogsma had one point for Crowdis.

11-14 Girls

Brown 22, Bryant 18

Elena Schensted had nine points for Brown, while Michelle Brown had six, Jessica Fromularo four and Ashley Scott three.

Katie Munsch had six points for Bryant, while Jessica Bryant and Courtney Radcliffe had five and Jamie Droogsma two.

Hawthorne 15,Welsh 11

Coral Molina had six points for Hawthorne, while Lindsey Hawthorne had three, Brianne Carree, Maggie Hooks, and Kathryn Miller two each.

Emma Kimsal had six points for Welsh, while Sarah Tolan had three.

9-10 Boys

Aydelott 27, Newell 8

Jack Joyner had 12 points for Aydelott, while Brandon Adeylott had seven, Bradley Proctor six and Brandon Seuzeneau two.

Hank Newell, Joshua Argentine and Duncan Niven had two points each for Newell.

Stringfellow 17, Crowdis 14

Troy Stringfellow had 11 points for Stringfellow, while Nicholas Valletto, Garner Currington and Mac Pewitt had two each.

Brian Garbell had 13 points for Crowdis and Blake Fourine had one.

Aydelott 32, Battel 16

Jack Joyner had 12 points for Aydelott, while Bradley Proctor and Brandon Adeylott had six each, Josh Martin four and Hunter Davis and Brandon Seuzeneau two each.

Jacob Smith had ten points for Battel. Jace Amberson had four points and Owen Battel had two.

Flake 26, Mink 10

Michael Hawkins had 12 points for Flake, while Auston Fillinger had eight and Michael Flake, Will Musmansky and Logan Smith two each.

Tristen Hicks had six points for Mink. Clay Moss and Logan Mink each had two points.

Jarvis 20, Gill 12

Kale Jarvis had 12 points for Jarvis. Cole Brown had six points and Austin Dewees had two.

Matthew DeMahy had six points for Gill. Zane Gill had four points and David Carbaugh had two.

11-12 Boys

Maddox 39, Newell 23

Jonathan Burkett and Jake Norris had 14 points each for Maddox, while Garrett Glassman had six, Luke Cunningham three points and Matthew Clay two.

Michael DeMahy and Nicholas Kessler had seven points each for Newell, while Austin Droogsma had six and Nick Gupta had three.

Fry 34,Watts 21

Nick Bookout had 10 points for Fry, while Joel Fry had eight, Kyle Folland and Shane Halpin six each and Joshua Goldstein two.

Blake Meredith had 12 points for Watts and Taylor Busbee had six. Harrison Rhodes had two points and Jacob Doyle had one points.

Dekozan 32, Chavez 25

Mitchell Dekozan had 19 points for Dekozan, while Landon Cagle had eight, Chad Wise three and Nathan Youngman two.

Joshua Monserrate had 10 points for Chavez, while Alec Chavis and Jack Tamburro had six each, .Trevor Johnson two and Marco Pena one.

Castleberry 18, Taylor 12

Allen Wang had eight points for Castleberry, while Connor Bray, Austin Poling, Robert Holtzclaw and Reno Routh had two each, and Eric Lawson and Taylor Castleberry one each.

Chris Taylor had five points for Taylor, while Westin Demotts had three and Andrew Jurnovoy and Alex Meade two each.

Battel 25, Hawthorne 23

Xan Sarra had 11 points for Battel, while Andrew Flynn had six, Sam Hoskins four and Ben and Nate Hoskins two each.

John Carbough had nine points for Hawthorne, while Nick Dugger had eight, Robbie McLin four and David Alverson and Matthew Hawthorne one each.

13-14 Boys

Challenor 33, Custerd 29

Taylor Webb had 19 points for Challenor, while Trevor Challenor had eight, Cal Campbell four and Chris Kessler two.

Jay Halford had 19 points for Custerd, while Christopher Cooke had six and Joshua Crabtree and Jordan Reid two each.

Adkins 46, Battel 17

Zach Batson had 15 points for Adkins, while Michael Simhachalam had 12, Mitchell Delgado seven and Andrew Zambetti and Tyler Miller six each.

Jordan Battel had six points for Battel, while Jordan Bennett had five, Hunter Bradshaw three, Caleb Harris two and Derek Daily one.

Catellier 32, Morrison 26

Shannon Chapman had 12 points for Catellier, while Kalani Routh had 10, Paul Spraggins six and Michael Schmitz and Tyler Wright two each.

William Musmansky, Michael Hawkins and Austin Fillinger had two each for Flake.

Week 5 9-10 Boys

Newell 20, Stringfellow 14

Joshua Argentine had eight points for Newell, while Zachary Argentine had four and Scott Baker, Hank Newell, Bryce St. Ores and Joe Lennon had two points each.

Julian Gordon had six points for Stringfellow, while Troy Stringfellow had four, and Garner Currington and Mac Pewit had two.

Battel 12, Mink 9

Andy Creech had six for Battel, while Collin Hightower had three, Jace Amberson two and Ethan Phyfe one.

Tristen Hicks had nine for Mink. 11-12 Boys

Fry 30, Castleberry 29

Kyle Folland had 16 points for Fry, while Joel Fry had seven, Nick Bookout five and Randy Halpin two.

Allen Wang had 17 points for Castleberry, while Patrick Roane had four, Taylor Castleberry three and Connor Bray and Austin Poling two each.

Dekozan 38, Newell 14

Landon Cagle had 16 points for Dekozan, while Mitchell Dekozan had 13, Chad Wise three and Cassidy Warford, Nathan Youngman, and James Mozur two each.

Nick Kessler and Carson Sharp had four each for Newell, while Adam Baker had three, Kurtis McKissack two and Michael DeMahy one.

Chavez 31, Hawthorne 18

Joshua Monserrate had 12 points for Chavez, while Alec Chavis and Reid Torgersen had seven each, Marco Pena four points and Trevor Johnson one.

Nick Duggar had eight for Hawthorne, while Robbie Martin had five, Slaye Simon and Matt Hawthorne two each and John Mark Carbough one.

Taylor 33, Maddox 26

Christopher Taylor had 14 points for Taylor, while Andrew Jurnovoy had 10, Westin Demotts five and Alex Meade four.

Jonathon Burkett had 12 for Maddox, while Jake Norris had six, Luke Cunningham three, Curtis Thies and Mathew Clay two each and Garrett Glassman one.

Watts 25, Battel 22

Harrison Rhodes had eight for Watts, while Nick Kozbiel had six, Kolt Johnson four, Jacob Doyle and Blake Meredith three each and Taylor Busbee one.

Xan Sarra had 10 points for Battel, while Andrew Flynn had five, Nate Hoskins three and Ben Hoskins and Sam Wein two each.

13-14 Boys

Challenor 28, Adkins 26

Trevor Challenor and Taylor Webb had 10 each for Challenor, while Cal Campbell had four and Chris Kessler and Holden Tibbs two each.

Tyler Miller and Michael Simhachalam had six each for Adkins, while Andrew Zambetti had five, Zach Batson four, Kyle McKissack three and Mitchell Delgado two.

Hughes 32, Morrison 24

Mason Barnes had 10 points for Hughes, while Ross O'Hara and Garrett Reeves had eight each, Ethan Freidland five, Thomas Rockhill two and Reed Wojtys one.

Sammy Byrne had 11 points for Morrison, while Preston Sellers, Colin Brewer and Corey Loudon had three each, Jacob Greer two points, and Hunter Byrne and Jack Hoehn one each.

Custerd 50, Brown 28

Jay Halford had 30 points for Custerd, while Jordan Reid had 11, Alexander Brewer had three, and Christopher Cooke, Joshua Crabtree, and Brandon Fish each had two points.

Nick Romjue had eight or Brown, while Justin Ratte and Colin Murphy had seven each and Nathan Gupta, Bryce Wein and Alex Boulton two each.

Catellier 33, Battel 18

Tyler Wright had 11 points for Catellier, while Paul Spraggins, Max Cyr, and Kalani Routh had six each, and Shannon Chapman and Michael Schmitz three each.

Derek Daily had seven for Battel, while Jordan Battel had four points,
