GBHS' Best Director
Margie Timmons and her drama students piled into the Gulf Breeze High School video production room for a special presentation by an area theater supporter. Timmons, pictured above, is presented an award on Jan. 29 for her achievement in directing the Gulf Breeze High School production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" which ran January 5-6. The award was presented by Virgilia Rodriguez, a grandmother of a drama student and supporter of the high school drama program. "It was such a good thing," said Rodriguez as she addressed the student body during the morning show. "This is really a push for awareness for a community fine arts center." Rodriguez further explained her wish to have local individuals "step up to the plate" to help make the center a reality.
