Wells to lead hypertension research study

Kelli Wells, M.D., a family practice physician, is a clinical research investigator and a hyperbaric physician at Baptist Hospital. She is a native of Pensacola, Fla., and an E s c a m b i a High School graduate.

Dr. Wells is a member of the Florida M e d i c a l Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the National Medical Association and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. She is board certified in family practice.

Currently, Dr. Wells and the Baptist Hospital research team are asking for people in the community to participate in a study involving medication combinations and their effects on hypertension. The medications under observation are on the market and are approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It is the effectiveness of the medication combinations that are being investigated. Certain criteria must be met to participate in the study. Those who complete the eight-week study will be reimbursed for time and travel.
