Three south end teachers in running for Teacher of the Year

Of the five semifinalists for the Santa Rosa Education Foundation's 2008 Teacher of the Year, three of them are from the south end of the county.

Nicole Mayhew is a first g r a d e teacher at W e s t Navarre Primary, E r i c Miles, is a 10th and 12th g r a d e teacher of Government and Economics, at Gulf Breeze H i g h S c h o o l and Erin Tracy is a G i f t e d Education teacher at O r i o l e Beach.

T h e selection committee will make classroom observational visits and announce finalists o n Tuesday, J a n u a r y 23.

Finalist observations and i n t e r - v i e w s will take place on Thursday, January 25.

The 2008 Teacher of the Year for Santa Rosa County will be announced during a surprise classroom visit by Superintendent Rogers on Friday, January 26.
