WEEKS

Mrs. Lydia Weeks, age 89 of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and formerly of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., was called from this life to join her Heavenly Father from her residence on Thursday, January 4, 2007. Mrs. Weeks was born in Perry, Fla. on January 7, 1917, to Thomas C. Albrady N. O'Steen Simmons and had been a resident of the Gulf Breeze area since 1972. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years of marriage, Roy Allen Weeks of Gulf Breeze; sons and daughters-inlaw, Frank and Linda Fountain of Tucson, Arizona, Thomas and Valarie Weeks of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Billy Weeks of Orange Park, Fla., and Michael Weeks of Navarre, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Alberta and Richard Miller of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sandra and Brad Hunt-Cole of Farmington, New Mexico, Janice and John Blizard of Bridge Port, Alabama, Glenda and Lee Gardner of Navarre, Fla.; and 35 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation was conducted from the Chapel of Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2007, from 3 until 5 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lydia Weeks was conducted from the Chapel of Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Gilmore officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Also noted are special and devoted friends, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph and Marilyn Howard.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of the ROSE LAWN FUNERAL HOME, Gulf Breeze.
