COOK June Lanz Cook, passed away December 14, 2006 at the age of 91. She was born in Bon Aqua, TN and grew up in Seacy, AK. Preceding her in death were her husband, William J. (Bill) Cook; her grandson, PO3 Sean M. Saye, USN; sisters, Myrtle Jackson, Gladys Beck and Dorothy Roberts. June survived by her daughter, Beverly C. Scott (fiancee Walter Zuk); granddaughter, Tracey Johnson (James); grandson, PFC Robert L. Scott, II, U.S. Army; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson and Holly Johnson. She is also survived by brothers, Roy (Theresa) Lanz, Dr. Elwin (Adina) Lanz, and Warren (Barbara) Lanz. A memorial service was held Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze with the Rev. Robert Ellisor and the Rev. Connie Ragghianti. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Zuk, PFC. Robert L. Scott, II, James Johnson, and Nicholas Johnson. The family welcomed friends after the service at the church. Donations may be made to the Shriners Cripple Children's Hospital at the Hadji Temple Transportation, 800. W.Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL32534 or Pensacola Humane Society. The family wants to thank Christina and Tammy with Covenant Hospice and the staff on D Wing at Health Center of Pensacola for their support and loving care. Known affectionately as "Meme" by her family, and "Miss June" by the children at St.Paul United Methodist Church nursery, she will be missed after having a long memorable life. |
