BAXTER

Joyce T. Baxter, 81 of Gulf Breeze, died Sunday, January 14th, after a long illness.

Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Vern Tebo; second husband, Dr. Gordon P. Baxter; parents, Loren and Emma Dilger; and sister, Muriel Rich.

She is survived by her son, Shannon (Renee) Baxter of Gulf Breeze; grandchildren, Shannon (Aimee) Baxter, Jr. of Columbus, GA, Sarah Baxter of Montgomery, AL and Candace (Jonathan) Evans of Athens, GA; great-grandchild, Grant Baxter of Columbus, GA; sister, Judith Ginn of Nashville, TN; and special people, Judith Wilcher of Montgomery, AL and Marsha Williams of Inglewood, CA.

A native of the Pensacola / Gulf Breeze area, Joyce was an avid bird watcher and loved her daily visits from her Great Blue Heron friend. Family and friends will miss her dearly.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Gulf Breeze Hospital and United Healthcare Services, as well as the Trust Department of Wachovia.

A memorial service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Gulf Breeze, Wednesday, January 17th at 10:30 a.m.
