H&R Block client wins refund promotion

Dustin and Kim Parrett received a little more than their refund when they visited the Tiger Point H&R Block office last tax season. With their completed tax return, the tax professional included a game card with three scratch-off boxes. With the scrape of a coin, Kim Parrett revealed the grand prize - an amount equal to her federal tax refund.

"I was extremely happy when I saw my refund, but the fact that H&R Block was going to match it was the best possible news I could get at that time of year. I have always had H&R Block complete my taxes to make sure I don't miss any deductions or credits, but I never dreamed it would mean I would receive an amount equal to my refund", said Mrs. Parrett. She bought new golf clubs for herself and took her family on a vacation to Disneyworld and the central western coast of Florida with the prize money. "Having the "double your refund" sure did help", quoted Mrs. Parrett.

This year, H&R Block's new promotion is "The Toss Out Your Bills Instant Win Game" which offers thousands of cash prizes to help people pay their bills. Participants can play for a chance to win up to$10,000 to use for anything they want, including debt relief. Other cash prizes include a $1,000 check, a $100 check, a $50 check, $20 check and a $5 SUBWAY Cash Card. All participants can enter for a chance to win in the $50,000 grand prize drawing! The promotion runs from January 2 through April 17. There are two ways to play the game: have your taxes prepared at a participating tax office or obtain a game card without purchase by mail.
