Baptist Home Care Health agencies receive recognition

Baptist Health Care's two home health agencies have been named to the 2006 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the most successful home care providers in the country.

Baptist Home Health Care and Atmore Community Home Health made the list that names Medicare-certified agencies whose performance measures in quality improvement and financial performance are among the top 25 percent of providers nationwide.

"We are pleased that our team has been recognized for their efforts to provide our patients with excellent health care at home," said David Price, administrator of Baptist Home Health Care.

The data used for this analysis was compiled using publicly available information from Home Health Compare and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

"This certainly signifies that we are providing quality care for our patients," said Linda Doyle, administrator Atmore Community Home Health.

The 2006 HomeCare Elite is the first performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry. The 2006 HomeCare Elite is presented by OCS, Inc., publisher of DecisionHealth and a leading provider of the health care informatics. DecisionHealth is a producer of newsletters for the health care industry.
