Area churches announce new year schedules

First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church Gulf Breeze will offer three studies beginning in January. Everyone is invited to participate and church membership is not required.

¦ January 4 - meeting every Thursday at 10 a.m., Max Lucado's "Come Thirsty." Childcare available (contact the church office for details). The meeting is in the Renfroe Center room 203. Cost is $10 for the workbook

¦ January 14 - meeting every Sunday at 4 p.m., Beth Moore's "Daniel." Childcare provided - preschool up to 6th grade. The meeting is in the Renfroe Center dinning room. Cost is $10 for the workbook

¦ January 14 - meeting every Sunday at 9:15 am, Ken Hemphill's "The Prayer of Jesus." Childcare is provided for all ages. The meeting is in the Renfroe center dinning room. Cost is $10 for the workbook.

St. Augustine's of Canterbury

St. Augustine's of Canterbury Episcopal Church Worship weekly service schedule is as follow.

¦ Sunday Services: Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.,

¦ Sunday school Sept-May, and nursery is provided for both services and Sunday school

¦ Wednesday Service: Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m.

¦ Second Sunday of the month, the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist, followed with prayers for healing

¦ Second Sunday of the month, 6:30 p.m. the Mary Martha Guild meets. All women of the church are invited.

¦ Second Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. the men's group meets.

¦ Third Friday of the month, 6:30 p.m. the monthly Cursillo Reunion and covered dish supper is held.

All who have attended Cursillo are invited.

Explore Daniel's life

Daniel, a Beth Moore video based study for women, will begin on January 10 on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive, or at the Community Life Center, Soundside Drive at Highway 98, at 6 p.m. for 12 weeks. Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressure to compromise his faith in a hostile culture and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today's believers face similar trials.

See how he models how to develop enduring integrity. Explore prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ. Daily preparation is 30-45 minutes. Childcare available. A Tuesday Morning Women's Study Group will meet at the Community Life Center beginning January 9 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. "A Woman After God's Own Heart" is a 10 week study.

Develop a heart for His word, for prayer and personal discipline. Plus, discover how to develop a heart for your husband, children, home, friends and others.

With weekly small group meetings along with daily at home study will help you pursue God's purpose for your life.
