Ben Franklin to visit libraries

America's most-loved founding father will be appearing in mid-January at your local Santa Rosa County Library. In a fast-paced, interactive performance, children will learn the secrets of one of the world's best and most famous readers, Benjamin Franklin, as he discusses his life and achievements and explains how to improve reading habits.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 11 at 4 p.m. at Navarre Library and at 6 p.m. at Gulf Breeze Library.

Children become part of the program as Ben challenges them to remember everything he says--and rewards them when they do! "The Magic of Reading with Ben Franklin" is a world-class program designed to entertain children and inspire them to acquire a love reading that will last forever. The program concludes with a reenactment of a scientific experiment Ben actually performed.

Dr. Rich Davis has performed in character and dress as Benjamin Franklin for the past 13 years. He presented nearly 200 performances at schools and libraries in 2005- 2006.
