The Lady Dolphin soccer team's offense has resembled a slow drip out of a faucet for most of the season. Entering play last week, the team had averaged a little more than 3.5 goals a game. Last week, however, that faucet was cranked all the way on as the Lady Dolphins scored 23 goals in a three game stretch. More ... Gulf Breeze scored only three points in the fourth quarter of a tough 45-34 loss to Milton Friday. The Dolphins are still winless against Milton since the 1999-2000 season. The Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin basketball team rallied from 12 down before giving up four straight points to Milton en route to a 45-42 loss Friday in Milton. GBHS (3-5) used a threepoint play from Deannette Zuniga and a three-pointer from Jamie Beeler for an early 9-3 lead. But Milton (5-4) would score nine of the last 11 points of the quarter to take a 12-11 lead. More ... Dolphin senior Kyle Chavers went 6-1 in the 160-pound weight class at the Capitol City Classic last weekend at Florida State University. Of his seven matches, four of them went the distance (he won all four). His lone loss was a pin in the third period. More ... The Lady Dolphins' biggest test to date will come this weekend at the Michelle Akers Classic in Orlando. Gulf Breeze is one of 16 teams in the field. More ... John English had the hot hand for the 1977 Dolphins this week against Pace, scoring 31 of his 35 points in the first half of a 70-62 win.
