GB Hospital tops in satisfaction

FROM STAFF REPORTS Gulf Breeze News news@gulfbreezenews.com

Harriman Harriman Gulf Breeze Hospital and four other Baptist Health Care facilities have earned recognition for sustaining the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years. Representatives from Baptist Health Care accepted the honors at a conference held by the nation's leading patient satisfaction measurement firm, Press Ganey Associates, which surveys more than 7,000 client facilities across the United States.

"The Summit award represents the voice of our patients," said Bob Harriman, administrator, Gulf Breeze Hospital. "They rate the care we provide, and this makes the recognition particularly gratifying. We are proud to have a team that is providing a level of service excellence that is nationally recognized."

Summit awards went to Baptist Hospital, Gulf Breeze Hospital, Baptist Medical Park Pensacola, Jay Hospital and Atmore Community Hospital.

"Baptist Health Care has continued to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction," said Dr. Melvin F. Hall, president and chief executive officer, Press Ganey. "Their efforts benefit their communities and lead to improved delivery of health care."

The awards were presented during ceremonies held at the Press Ganey National Client Conference in Kissimmee, Fla. at the Gaylord Palms Resort. Of the 7,000 client facilities in the Press Ganey database, Summit awards were given to only eight ambulatory surgery centers, 12 emergency departments, nine hospitals and eight outpatient facilities.
