Tax options to go before voters
Rep. Clay Ford and Sen. Don Gaetz
      Ford labels tax cut compromise 'anemic' To be perfectly clear - I just don't like property taxes period! There has to be a better way to finance government, the legislature just has to find it. The long time position of the Florida House has been to substitute sales tax for property tax. We simply have not been able to sell it to the Senate.

Midway Fire District needs to live within its means
      Sorry, I can't afford a Mercedes. The Midway Fire Department in South Santa Rosa County is probably the best fire department in the area. Our Fire Chief, Chief Demeter has worked hard to make sure we have excellent people, training, and the best equipment money can buy. The only problem is, I drive a Ford. I used to drive Chevrolets but this last time I bought a Ford.

Gulf Breeze history is alive and well in its residents
      I wanted to clarify a bit of Gulf Breeze history! I have lived in this community since 1958 before it was even a city and it is good to have on record that Dr. Julian Olsen was Gulf Breeze's first physician. I have heard both Dr. Jordan and Mr. Bokas clarify this in the past. I'm pretty sure his office was where the Texaco station is now.
