ALFRED JOHN "AL" WINFIELD
      Al Winfield, passed away on Oct. 16, 2007, at home after a brave battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Alameda.He was deputy chief of police for Vacaville, Calif. from 1988-2001.After retiring, he worked for Basalite in Dixon. Before Vacaville, he worked for Menlo Park P.D.; California Highway Patrol; Los Angeles P.D.; Huntington Beach P.D.

      A memorial for Al Winfield, 61, of Dixon, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Vacaville, Calif. Pastor Leroy Gainey officiated. A reception followed at the Ulatis Cultural Center, 1000 Ulatis Drive, Vacaville, Calif.
