Beach road repairs underway
      After more than two years after Hurricane Dennis ravaged repair work begun on J. Earle Bowden Way, construction is underway once more. The road that connects and serves as a vital evacuation route between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach is expected to be open to the public by the spring or summer of 2008 and local officials couldn't be happier.

Looking forward to fun
      Katie Cronin, is the organizer of this year's Fall Festival fundraiser to benefit Pensacola Beach Elementary. With Katie are her children, Megan, Patrick and Macy Claire. Beatles tribute band plays Tuesday at Bands on the Beach
      You've got to hear it to believe it. Not Quite Fab brings the spirit of the Beatles back to life with their cover tunes of the original Fab Four's music at Pensacola Beach's weekly concert series, Bands on the Beach, from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Gulfside Pavilion.

Truck flips over Bob Sikes bridge
      Early in the morning of Oct. 10, a 1999 Dodge Ram swerved over the side of the Bob Sikes Bridge between Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The truck was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed.
