Franklin Hayes/Gulf Breeze News Construction continues on two parcels of land near the intersection of U.S. 98 and Sterling Point Drive (pictured above). According to the Santa Rosa County Engineering Department, the property is being developed by Skyline Marketplace Gulf Breeze. Although no final building plans had been submitted as of Sept. 17, construction crews are busy installing underground retention. Submitted Photo The Blues Brothers played for a standing room only crowd in the gym of the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church on Sunday night, Sept. 9. Jake and Elwood Blues played by Judd Conner and Pastor Jerry Blacklaw) headlined an all-star cast of Gulf Breeze horn players including Cynthia Blacklaw, Sabrina George, Wesley George, Jerry Hooker, Michael Roane and Sandy Stanley. Other musicians included Nicky Hooks, Bob King, Will Nowling, and Russ Poyner. Back-up vocalists included Kathy Asbury and Kylie Conner. It was a great evening of music that included food, a multi-media presentation by Leigh Welch, and fun for the whole family.
