Pace pitches shutout vs. GBHS
Dolphins held to 95 yards of total offense in 35-0 loss
      The saying is that lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, but don't tell that to the Pace Patriots. Pace scored two touchdowns in a span of 16 seconds and three in the first four minutes on their way to a 35-0 win over the Dolphins Friday at Dolphin Stadium.

Lady Dolphins lose 3-0 to Catholic
Bounce back with 3-0 win at Escambia
      A short-handed Lady Dolphin volleyball team made 23 passing errors in a 25-19, 25-18, 25-20 loss to Catholic Sept. 4 in Gulf Breeze. The Lady Dolphins (2-1) played without outside hitter Lacie Brothers, who sustained a concussion in GBHS' five-game win over Washington. She should play this week against West Florida Tech and Pine Forest.

Dolphins compete in four team meet
      The Gulf Breeze boys golf team played in a four team match at Scenic Hills Sept. 4 against Catholic, Milton and Pace. Catholic won with a score of 154, followed by Pace (161), Milton (169) and Gulf Breeze (180). T.J. Jordan birdied the 17th hole (all four teams played the back nine) and parred 14 and 18 on his way to the 44.

Lady Dolphin swim team takes second at Optimist meet
      The Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin swim team took second place at the 2007 Optimist Invitational Meet Saturday at The Club. The Lady Dolphins finished with 295 points, 29 points back of winner Panama City Mosley, who took second in the boys division (300) behind Fort Walton Beach (323). The Dolphins finished ninth in the 16 team boys field (110).

JV Dolphins lose close one at Pace
      The Pace Patriot junior varsity football team scored a one-yard touchdown run on fourth and goal with six minutes left in the game to defeat Gulf Breeze 14-7 Thursday in Pace. Ben Lively and Michael Mann took turns leading the Dolphin offense, with Lively playing the odd number quarters, Mann the even.

Blue Midgets knock off defending champs
Mighty Mites also win, 14-13 in overtime; Tiger Point's home opener Saturday
      Preston Sellers' one-yard run with 35.8 seconds left in the second quarter gave the GBSA Blue Midgets a 6-2 win over defending champion Albritton and Gant Saturday in Pensacola. The touchdown was set up by a 37-yard pass from Landon Cagle to T.J. Baughn and a 20- yard run by Sellers.
