Governor Charlie Crist joined Secretary Michael W. Sole of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to recognize Florida's Clean Marina Program at the Clearwater Municipal Marina. And before I get started let me say to all the outraged PETA members and fellow travelers out there that my wife, Rusty, drags home every stray puppy, cat and gerbil she can find and, thereafter, they get more attention and, certainly, better medical and dental than I do. I like animals, too. More ... Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce will host a dedication and ribbon cutting at the newly named Harry G. Gowens Memorial Park, Friday, August 24 at 5:30 p.m. The park is located 200 Via de Luna on Pensacola Beach.
