Lifeguard ambulance services owner John Roche said the first day on the job in Santa Rosa County for his ambulances and crews was the busiest day ever for emergency services in the county's history.

"We responded to 50 calls and transported between 40 - 50 patients all on that one day," Roche said.

Claney Outzen is Allen's 'Kid of the Week'
      Claney Outzen, the kid of the Week, is the daughter of Rick and Cathy Outzen. She just completed the eighth grade at Gulf Breeze Middle School where she was secretary/ treasurer of her class. She will be a freshman at Gulf Breeze High School. Outzen's freshman class will be the first class that has to select a "major" and she has chosen musical theater.
