Mary Ester man arrested in Navarre for sex charge
      On July 2, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Kevin Brian Bass, 33, of Mary Esther on charges of capital sexual battery on a victim under 12 years of age. The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred in Navarre during the middle of June, while Bass babysat for a juvenile, under the age of twelve.

Dollar General to close two GB stores
      The standalone locations at 4376 Gulf Breeze Parkway and 3106 Gulf Breeze Parkway will close at the beginning of July, said Dollar General Senior Director of Corporate Communications Tawn Earnest. "We are going to revitalize our existing store base," Earnest said, by closing up to 400 low potential stores.
