Residents urged to reduce water use
Water Management District issues water shortage warning
      Havana, Florida-The Northwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board issued a water shortage warning effective June 5. This applies to all water users from western Jefferson to Escambia counties, urging them to voluntarily reduce water use.

Area remains under burn ban
      Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa Counties are still under county-mandated bans against all outdoor burning not authorized by the Florida Division of Forestry. The Commissioner of Agriculture has lifted the state-wide ban on yard trash burning, but conditions in the Panhandle are still at a critical level.

Midway Fire District receives grant for ambulance
      Midway Fire District was approved for a grant for a new ambulance. But in order to get the $112,750 grant the district has to get permission from the county to be at least a back-up for the county's ambulance service.

      Santa Rosa Shores Women's Club The Santa Rosa Women's Club held a progressive dinner on Saturday June 10 with beverages and hors d'oeuvres being served at the home of Shelia Little on Hillside Street to a crowd of 21 ladies. From Shiela's house the group proceeded to Lou Jones's home on Laguna Lane for a delicious sit down dinner prepared by club member, Trish Trachy.
