GBHS to send 22 to regional track meet
      Gulf Breeze will send 22 athletes to today's Region 1-2A meet at The Bolles School in Jacksonville. Those 22 qualified for the meet by placing in the top four of their respective events at last Thursday's District 1-2A meet in Gulf Breeze. The girls team placed second in the seven team meet with 142 points, while the boys were third with 100 points.

Dolphins clinch number two seed
      Greg Tober struck out a career-high 13 on Thursday as Tober and his Dolphin baseball senior teammates celebrated Senior Night with a 12-2 win over PHS. The win also clinched the second seed in next week's district tournament for the Dolphins, who also posted their fourth consecutive double-digit run game.

Two GBHS lifters to compete at state
      Two members of the Dolphin weightlifting team will compete in Friday's 1A state meet in Daytona Beach. Cory Hebert and Pat King will compete in the 119 and 238 pound weight classes, respectively. Both finished second in their weight classes in the recent Section 1-1A meet in Panama City.

TP Park looking to purchase more land
      Football teams are set to rush (football term instead of invade) Tiger Point Park this fall and the planning process is well underway. Park officials hope to convert at least one soccer field into a football practice area.

      GBHS Volleyball Booster Club meeting April 25 GBHS Volleyball Booster Club is hosting a meeting Wednesday, April 25, for anyone interested in the 2007 Dolphin Volleyball season. The meeting will be held in the GBHS Media Center and is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Students planning to try out for the 2007 teams are encouraged to attend, along with their parents.

Lady Dolphins softball team rallies to beat Catholic
Two-out single in top of seventh propels Fort Walton past GBHS, 6-4
      A bruised and battered Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin softball team scored four in the top of the seventh for a 14-11 come from behind win Thursday at Catholic, the regular season finale for both teams. A total of nine players either suffered injuries during the game or were battling a nagging injury during the game.

Goodroe good in 14-0 win in GBSA Rookie League
Scifo homers in Minor League game
      Reddon McLaurine, Josh Hoffman, Kegan Walker and Jake Herring all scored twice to lead Goodroe to a 14-0 win over Lukkar during week three of GBSA Rookie League action at Shoreline Park. Miles 15, Owens 6 Grant Kemp scored three times for Miles, while Jacob Brandon, Jesse Grant, Nick McCain and Yianni Whisler all scored twice.

Tiger Point Mustangs win
      Kayla Carroll had two hits and scored twice to lead the Tiger Point Mustangs to a 12-6 win over Gulf Breeze Thursday. Abby McLelland, Meg Simpson, Olivia Prentiss and Lydia Ellington all scored twice in the win, while Jayme Arnold and Allie Truett had a hit and a run scored.

Five schools records fall at GBMS Track meet
      The GBMS Class of 2007 broke five school records at the annual Gulf Breeze Middle School track meet. Jennifer Pfeifler set one of the school records and was a part of two others. Justin Ratte and Michael Mann also had record setting performances, with Ratte being part of a second record as well.
