      We are in America's 50th state. While I have been here many times, 'Lishous has never been. We are having a ball, but again traveling with her is a total hoot. To begin with, for Christmas I brought her a GPS system, and yes, sure as heck, she left it at home.

SRIA leaders look to the future
      Should Pensacola Beach offer a parking garage with a restaurant atop right in the middle of the business district? Should there be sidewalks and bike paths connecting both ends of the beach? Would visitors use a trolley system and leave their cars at hotels and condos if one was running continually all year long?

      The people on rooftop at the Islander Lounge on Pensacola Beach are silhouetted in the setting sun Sunday. The beach hosted a "Pardi Gras" street parade in the afternoon, continuing the countdown to Fat Tuesday.

Pensacola Beach Woman's Club meets today
      Mardi Gras will be the theme at the February meeting of the Pensacola Beach Woman's Club. The meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 at Hunt Hall on Via DeLuna at 11a.m. The luncheon will be Pot Luck and all members are asked to bring a dish. Carol Ascherfeld will give a presentation and slide show about migratory birds. To celebrate the season, wear Mardi Gras attire.
