Things that make me feel good
      We here in Far Far Super-Far Florida have a lot to feel good about. In 2007 we need to feel good as much as we can. Nowadays these things are not going to find us, so we have to look for them. Here are a few things that make me feel good, I hope you can find a new "feel good reason" to look for among them!

State of the Island is strong, Manager reports
      Two and a half years after the first of two hurricanes hit Pensacola Beach, the island is recovering nicely, according to officials.

First Lady Laura Bush gives $25,000 to Beach School
      Pensacola Beach Elementary School (PBES) recently received a $25,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries. The island's only public school was one of 20 schools to share $1 million in funding specifically for library books and was the only school representing the Florida education system.

Deadline to move from FEMA trailers passes
      Time is up for residents living in trailers provided by the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) as a result of Hurricane Dennis in 2005. The deadline for residents living in FEMA housing was Jan. 10. It has been a year and a half since the category three hurricane slammed into the gulf coast and destroyed what Hurricane Ivan had left behind merely 10 months before.
