Hope Medical Group increases cancer care

Cancer care is reaching new heights for residents of Gulf Breeze and surrounding communities. Beginning mid- January, Hope Medical Group, a private medical practice that provides care for patients with hematology or oncology illnesses, will open an office in the Ciano Cancer Center located at Gulf Breeze Hospital.

"The addition of the Hope Medical Group location at Gulf Breeze Hospital will ultimately increase our capacity to provide world-class service and cancer care to individuals and families in our community," said Bob Harriman, senior vice president of Baptist Health Care and administrator of Gulf Breeze Hospital. "The Ciano Cancer Center at Gulf Breeze Hospital is the sole provider of radiation therapy services in Gulf Breeze proper. The availability of innovative treatment technology at the Ciano Cancer Center coupled with Hope Medical Group's expert oncologists will allow cancer patients to experience a quality continuum of care without crossing the 3-mile bridge."

Hope Medical Group comprises nine physicians operating at five locations throughout northwest Florida and south Alabama.

Gulf Breeze Hospital is a 65- bed acute care hospital affiliated with Baptist Health Care.
