The Gulf Breeze Dolphin basketball team hit some big free throws down the stretch to win 58-53 at Pace Friday for their third consecutive win.

David Hibberts scored all six of his points in that run. He also had eight rebounds, three assists and six steals.

A pair of Patrick free throws made it 34-30 Gulf Breeze before Pace scored buckets on three straight possessions for a 37-34 lead.

A Blake Rankin threepointer, followed by three Cann free throws gave Gulf Breeze a five point lead (42-37) with three minutes left in the third quarter. Their lead was three heading into the fourth.

Cann finished the game with 10 points (including 8-for-10 from the free throw line) and 11 rebounds.

The Dolphins led by as many as seven (50-43) midway through the fourth quarter. Pace got to within two early in the quarter, but got no closer than three in the closing minutes.

Eric Mims added six points, while Rankin had three and Matt Catellier two.
