ELLINGTON
She was preceded in death by her Father, Clarence West and Parents, Armistine and Ford Gipson. In addition to being a nurse at Sacred Heart and West Florida Hospitals, Emily was a Hospice volunteer, a member of the Gulf Breeze Garden Club and Unity Church. She loved to garden and filled her yard with camellias, azaleas, amaryllis, and many other flowers. She collected many shells at the beach, but her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, many of whom were with her during the final days of her inspiring battle with lung cancer. She is survived by Sisters, Diana Hudson (Glen), Laura May (Ed), Genie Martz (Warren), Val "Bodie" Toner (Charlie); Children, LeAnna Brennan (Kevin), Scott Morehead (Dina), Yvette Bennett (John), Coulson Barfield (Barb); Grandchildren Rob, Chris & Virginia Brennan, Jean & Joe Morehead, Karl Bennett; Nieces, Angie Bateman (Derek), Katie & Britney Toner; Nephews, Gabriel Wigen (Heather), Curtis & Paul Martz; Grand-niece Libby Wigen; God-daughter Faith Stephens (Linzie) and many other beloved cousins who filled her life with love. Visitation was Thursday December 21, 2006 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 430 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola. The family wishes to express their thanks to Covenant Hospice and its dedicated staff for their loving and compassionate care.
