2006-07 GBSA basketball season gets underway at Rec Center

The Gulf Breeze Sports Association’s 2006-07 basketball season got underway Dec. 8-9. The following is a recap of those games:

5-6 Coeds

Edlund 20, Finelli 4

Matthew Hawkins had 10 points for Edlund. Thomas Goodroe had four. Luke Ellis, Tyler Dittermer, and Trevor Pugh had two each.

Brent Williams had four for Finelli.

Hepworth 14, Stein 4

Steele Chambers had eight points for Hepworth. Olivia Hepworth, Chandler Burtt, and Coleman Burtt had two each.

Jacob Brandon had four for Stein.

7-8 Coeds

Barnes 13, Hoskins 8

Macey Hicks had six points for Barnes. Alyssa Scott had two. Logan Turner had three. Alanna Zambetti had two.

Daven Patel had four points for Hoskins. Dylan Latta and Eric Finger had two points each.

Taylor 15, Stringfellow 9

Maddie Grace McCuvay had six points for Taylor. Alec Grimes and Jacob Pettijohn had four each. Duke Chastain had one point.

Avery Curington, Joshua Stillman, Jake Hering, and Luke Stringfellow all had two points for Stringfellow. Aubree Stillman had one point.

Grace 20, Hawkins 18

Hans Schroeder had 16 points for Grace. Bo Fabbro and Zach Pohlman each had two for Grace.

Bailey Wilson had eight points for Hawkins. Casey Warford and Megan Hawkins each had four points. Kiersten Edlund had two points.

Thompson 24, Larsen 6

Taylor Kehoe and Connor Thompson each had eight points for Thompson. Cole Sheppard had six points. Jake Welden had two points.

Anna Larsen had four points for Larsen. Madison Demotts had two points.

9-10 Girls

Clark 19, Crowdis 7

Alexandra Karcher had eight points for Clark. Savannah Nixon had four. Emily Delp had three. Brie Perdue and Paige Van Tassel each had two.

Selena Lillo had five points for Crowdis. Jessie Droogsma had two.

Rockett 16, Ferrera 11

Bailey Trazcinski had seven points for Rockett. Cate Hodges had four. Natalie Neff had three and Emily Radcliffe had two.

Katrina Espenscheid had seven points for Ferrera. Laura Riney and Isabella Espenscheid had two each.

11-14 Girls

Hawthorne 20, Welsh 19

Kathryn Miller had 12 points for Hawthorne. Brianne Carree had five. Katie Aldridge had two and Coral Molina had one.

Samantha Welsh had seven points for Welsh. Emma Kimsal had six. Kristyn Suelflow, Natalie Welsh and Kerrie Shaw each had two points.

Bryant 12, Brown 11

Katie Munsch had six points for Brown. Katie Bowyer and Courtney Radcliffe each had two. Jessica Bryant and Richelle Czeck each had one point.

Michelle Brown had seven points for Brown. Elena Schensted and Jessica Fromularo each had two points.

11-12 Boys

Taylor 35, Battel 15

Andrew Jurnovoy had 13 points for Taylor. Chris Taylor had seven. Westin DeMotts had five points. Alex Meade had four. Cody King, Kaya Dunn, and Hayden Hill each had two points.

Andrew Flynn had seven points for Battel. Xan Sarra had four points. Sam and Nate Hoskins had two points each.

Fry 43, Hawthorne 14

Joel Fry had 15 points for Fry. Nick Bookout had 10. Joshua Goldstein, Kyle Folland, and Giorgio Houser had six each.

Robbie McLin and John Mark Carbaugh had three points each for Hawthorne. David Alverson, Slaye Simon, Keenan Robinson, and Matthew Hawthorne had two points each.

Maddox 35, Castleberry 23

Jonathan Burkett had 23 points for Maddox. Luke Cunningham had seven and Garret Glassman had 5.

Allen Wang had 17 points for Castleberry. Connor Bray, Reno Routh, and Patrick Roane had two each.

Dekozan 27, Watts 22

Mitchell Dekozan had 14 points for Dekozan. Landon Cagle had seven. Hayden Davis had two. Cassidy Warford and Nevie Shaffer each had one point.

Taylor Busbee had eight points for Watts. Blake Meredith had seven points. Jacob Doyle had five points and Harrison Rhodes had two.

Newell 19, Chavez 18

Nick Kessler had nine points for Newell. Adam Baker and Nick Gupta had three points each. Kurtis McKissack had two points. Austin Droogsma and Carson Sharp each had one point.

Joshua Monserrate had ten points for Chavez. Reid Torgersen had four points. Alec Chavez and Trevor Johnson had two points each.

13-14 Boys

Hughes 19, Dykes 19

Mason Barnes had 11 points for Hughes. Ross O’Hara and Garrett each had four points.

Jay Halford had 15 points for Dykes. Jordan Reid had four points.

Brown 37, Challenor 17 Justin Ratte had 12 points for Brown. Nick Romjue had six points. Colin Murphy had five points. Nathan Gupta, Bryce Wein, and Alex Boulton each had four points. Chase Perdue had two points.

Cal Campbell had nine points for Challenor. Tyler Williams had four points. Andrew Jurnovoy and Holden Tibbs had two points each.

Adkins 38, Catellier 30

Andrew Zambetti had 17 points for Adkins. Zack Batson had eight points. Mitchell Delgado had six points. Michael Simhachalan had five points. Kyle McKissack had two points.

Tyler Wright had 13 points for Catellier. Mac Cyr had 11 points. Paul Spraggins had three points. Shannon Chapman had two.

Morrison 26, Battel 24

Jacob Greer and Corey Lowden had six points each for Morrison. Jack Hoehn and Sammy Byrne had four points each. Colin Brewer had two points and Preston Sellers had one.

Derek Daily and Jordan Bennett each had seven points for Battel. Jordan Battel and Jeffery Smith each had four points. Hunter Bradshaw had two points.
