The Gulf Breeze girls weightlifting team defeated Washington in a season opening dual meet over Washington before taking third in a fourteam meet Dec. 13.

Gulf Breeze won every weight class except for two in a dual meet Dec. 6.

The following is a breakdown of divisions and results:

1) Katelind Markey (85 lbs. bench press, 90 lbs. clean and jerk - 175 total), 2) Ashley Mayfield (70/75 - 145).

Navarre won the four-team meet last week at Gulf Breeze with 76 points. Milton was second (46), followed by Gulf Breeze (28) and Pace (3).
