Local pianist performs holiday favorites tonight

Local pianist, Tom Baroco, presents his first public appearance, “Tom Baroco on Piano: The Christmas Concert,”which will feature a heartwarming arrangement of holiday music favorites. The concert will take place at the Pensacola Little Theater on tonight at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased through the Pensacola Little Theater.

Also performing will be guest artists Mary Anne Lane on the violin, Emily Berry on the flute and local musical group Mass Confuzion, formed by

Angela Baroco, Dave Clark, Steve Hernandez, Brian LeBlanc and Mark Whibbs. The concert will be comprised of instrumental piano, festive vocals and spirit-lifting band numbers.

Proceeds will benefit the charitable works of Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida. The event is sponsored by Dollarhide’s Music and Sound and the Pensacola Little Theater.

Baroco’s benefit concert coincides with the release of his holiday CD, “Christmas

Blessings,” a collection of holiday piano arrangements. It is an hour-long CD that reflects a mix of religious and secular pieces, including his own composition, Blessings. Also on the CD are the seldom-heard Gregorian Chants Of the Father’s Love Begotten and Creator of the Stars of Night. The CD sells for $15 each and makes a great lastminute stocking stuffer for the classical enthusiast on your list.
