From the Editor's Desk
Thank you for the continued service

B.J. Davis
I know I'm often a blatant cheerleader for the great things about Gulf Breeze, and I've even received some hate mail in the past for writing "Disney stories," but I recently encountered another real-life scenario I'd like to share with you, the readers.

For the first time in quite some while, I had to admit myself to the emergency room over the weekend. As the hardheaded individual that I am, I starting feeling some pain in my left arm as though I had hit it hard or lifted something too heavy too quickly. I tried to tough out the pain over the weekend, but found myself eventually perusing through the myriad of health magazines on the new ER waiting room table Sunday evening. After a surprisingly short period of time, I was called back into triage. I can't believe I'm actually divulging that the wait was minimal this particular evening so people catch on that our hospital emergency room isn't as busy as Grey's Anatomy. From start to finish, I experienced some of the best service, must less ER service, I've ever had. There was general concern that I shouldn'tdrive myself after my shot of morphine, something I'm still reeling from. I received my follow-up call, subsequent to the radiologist's Monday morning review, that I will need a temporary elbow splint for a "fat pad" around my elbow. I guess my extremities should begin Weight Watchers as well.

So, a big "thank you" goes to the staff at Gulf Breeze Hospital. I've always known of the stellar service you've shown me in the past. I hope Dr. Harriman is reading this to compliment his staff on the great service they provide.

Thank you for continuing that service, thank you for extending it to me.
