HEALTH BRIEFS
Studies indicate that an estimated 30 percent of U.S. adults - over 60 million people - are obese, defined as having a body mass index of 30 or higher. Risk for heart disease, diabetes and certain types of cancer are greater in individuals who are over weight by only 10 to 20 pounds. Proven weight management and lifestyle programs are critical in addressing risk factors, and creating individualized systems of personal weight maintenance. Reservations are requested. For more information, call (850) 434-4080.
