Caring and Sharing kicks off giving season

Caring and Sharing, the organization that distributes food, clothing and Christmas gifts to the underprivileged is gearing up to outreach. Caring & Sharing assistance includes food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Through the Giving Tree Program at Christmas, children 12 and under are provided gifts and children 13 through 18 (and are in school) receive gift certificates.

Registration is a must. Dates for dates for registration interviews are as follows:

Saturday, October 28, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Sunday, October 29, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Monday, October 30, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

In Gulf Breeze, interviews will be held at the Good Samaritan Clinic at 4435 Gulf Breeze Parkway. In Navarre interviews will be held at the Navarre Presbyterian Church at 1870 Lowe Road in front of West Navarre Primary School.

One must live in South Santa Rosa County. Boundaries are from the Okaloosa county line north to the Yellow River and west to Gulf Breeze.

To register, one must bring the following:

Drivers licenses or photo ID for applicant and spouse or partner

Proof of residence (a recent utility bill with current address)

Proof of all household income

Paycheck stub, social security, pension,

W2 form, TANF, child support, alimony, etc.

Social Security card of all household members (including children)

Rent or mortgage payment receipt from most recent month

Distributions are typically from 1-3 p.m.
