Precision air team takes to the skies
This year's Pensacola Beach Air Show coincides with the Blue Angel's 60th anniversary show season. The Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron dedicates this season to the memory of retired Navy Captain Roy M. "Butch" Voris, who led the team in its inaugural year 1946, and to every Blue Angel who has kept his legacy alive since.
"I cordially invite you to help us celebrate this legendary American and 60 years of the 'Greatest Show Above Earth,'" said CDR Stephen R. Foley, Flight Leader and Commanding Officer.
The Blues are also excited about performing on Pensacola Beach. "We always try to put on a great show, but performing in our home town is special," said JOC Victor Brabble. "It gives us a chance to give back to the people who support us all year long."
