Troubadours rock Pensacola Beach crowds
BY LISA NEWELL Gulf Breeze News lisa@gulfbreezenews.com

LEFT: A band named LMR2 entertains the crowds at Flounder's. Many venues offer many different styles of music on Pensacola Beach, to entertain visitors of all ages and tastes.
Rock. Reggae. Folk. Even traditional Irish music can be found at various entertainment establishments on Pensacola Beach these days.

Yes, you'll still hear strains of Jimmy Buffett's classic tune, "Margaritaville" in the mix, but music options now include rap, country and jazz.

Most restaurants now offer some form of live entertainment in their bar areas or to entertain those who are waiting to be seated.

Some enjoy the music by dancing while others stand and sway with a bushwhacker in their hand. Others are content to sit and enjoy the sunset while listening to a solo act or band. Even boaters are known to pull their boats close to shore at Quietwater Beach to hear music bounding off the waves.

Hundreds turn out to the Gulfside Pavilion on Tuesday nights for the Island's "Blues on the Beach" series which features a different band each week.
