Almost two years after Ivan struck, more Pensacola Beach businesses are

Tom Hayes/Gulf Breeze News The Hampton Inn reopened on Pensacola Beach April 7, offering 181 rooms. Pensacola Beach is climbing back to its preIvan hotel inventory and now has 757 available hotel rooms. Before September 2004, there were 1,200 rooms. Plans are underway to construct new high rise condo-hotels at the sites of the Clarion and the Five Flags Inn.

Tom Hayes/ Gulf Breeze News Capt'n Fun Beach Bar reopened on the Boardwalk. Bamboo Willie's and Hooters, also on the Boardwalk, were among the first beach businesses to reopen after Hurricane Ivan.
