Area residents celebrate Earth Day with cleanup

Santa Rosa Clean Community System would like to remind area residents that a litter cleanup day is scheduled for this Saturday, April 22, Earth Day. From 8 a.m. to noon, interested participants are urged to meet at the Gulf Breeze High School football stadium parking lot. Bags will be provided, however, residents are asked to bring gloves. According to Rodney Sutton of the Community System, last year's individual turn out was exceptional and anyone interested is strongly encouraged to help support the beautification and cleanup of the City of Gulf Breeze.

Montgomery Realtors welcomes new agents to team

Montgomery Realtors recently welcomed three new agents to their team. Steve Dauser, Misty Brockett, and Simone Bartnikowski will be based out of the Montgomery Realtors Pensacola office.

Steve Dauser was previously with Tanner Realty. For the last decade, he has worked in residential property development in Houston, Texas and Gulf Breeze. He is currently working on the development of Bayfront Lofts, in downtown Pensacola. He has a degree in English and Business Administration from the University of Alabama.

Misty Brockett has a background in industrial and residential construction, and recently received her real estate license. She has most recently worked on the Bayfront Lofts project, as an administrative and marketing assistant.

Simone Bartnikowski has a background in construction, and has been with Bontrager Builders Group for two years. She has also worked in the lending industry as a loan officer. Bartnikowski has lived in downtown Pensacola for 9 years, and is originally from Connecticut.

Montgomery Realtors has been serving the Real Estate needs of Northwest Florida since 1974.

They currently have offices in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola. They are a member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, and the Luxury Portfolio.

New West Florida Historical Preservation director chosen

Richard Brosnaham has been selected as the new executive director of West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. (WFHPI). Brosnaham has served as interim executive director of the organization since February 2004. During the 14 years he has served WFHPI, his other roles have included museum educator, historian and associate director.

"I am excited and honored to take a permanent leadership role in guiding the future of WFHPI," said Brosnaham. "Regaining American Association of Museums Accreditation for Historic Pensacola Village and the T. T. Wentworth Jr. Florida State Museum will be my top priority."

A Pensacola native and graduate of UWF, Brosnaham earned his bachelor's degree in history

Santa Rosa Republicans hold meeting next month

The Republican Club of Santa Rosa County will hold its monthly meeting and Dutch Treat Dinner at East Bay Crab House, 9250 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566 at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday May 2, 2006. The Featured Speaker is Everett Rice, Candidate for Florida Attorney General.

This meeting is open to the public.
