Community organizations host 'Adopt a Dog' day

You may not be looking for a Dog or a Puppy to adopt today ... but you may someday!

Local businesses are combining efforts to promote dog adoption with a dog day of fun, prizes and education this month in Gulf Breeze.

Mandy Lang and Penny Pifer, Owners of Scrubba Dog Spa, have pulled together a few dog-loving organizations and people to help sponsor "AdoptA-Dog" Day on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. 2 p.m. at the Scrubba Dog Spa location 3214 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze.

different rescue agencies, dogfriendly vendors, groomers, and an obedience dog trainer on site will be Adopt-A-Day Prizes!

Dogs and puppies will be available for local families to more about other ways to help or adopt dogs sounds interesting, stop in and check out this event.

Mandy Lang offers that any dog adopted from the event that day will receive a Scrubba Dog Spa full-service bath and treatment, (adoption contract will be required when collecting on the full-service bath).

Prizes expected to be given out that day include; three selfservice dog baths, one dog obedience training session from Scrubba Dog Spa, and stuffed dog toys ... plus more prizes are being added daily!

The event is in the afternoon and lunch will be available: hot dog, chips, and a drink for only $1. The public is invited to stop by and make a day of it, and possibly go home with a new best friend.

Other participating organizations include:

Rescued Unwanted Furry Friends; Doggie Doo Pet Waste Removal Inc.; Natalie Dyson; and South Santa Rosa Animal Shelter. Other businesses are planning to participate but were not confirmed by press time.
