Banquet to honor retiring GB principal

The Cherry Fitch Retirement Celebration is set for April 2 from 6 - 9 pm at the Community Life Center, 4115 Soundside Drive in Gulf Breeze.

Everyone is invited to join in to thank and recognize Cherry Fitch for her numerous contributions to Gulf Breeze High School. Fitch first came to Gulf Breeze High School in 1970. She has been a teacher, guidance counselor and principal in the past 36 years at the school, winning the designation of Florida's Principal of the Year for 2005.

In honor of her dedication to education, a Cherry Fitch Endowed Scholarship, to benefit GBHS students, will be established at the University of West Florida with proceeds from this celebration. Participants will enjoy dinner from Carrabba's Italian Grill.

Special tributes, including a keynote address from Richard Mancini, will be made to Cherry throughout the evening.

Seating is limited, and there are a limited number of tickets. Individual tickets are $20 and sponsored tables of eight (names listed in event program) are $ 1 , 0 0 0 . T h o s e who cannot attend the banquet but would like to make a contribution to the C h e r r y Fitch Endowed Scholarship may do so.
