ENTERTAINMENT BRIEFS

Pensacola Opera introduces families and young audiences to opera with two performances at the University of West Florida on Sat., Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. and Sun., Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. The Three Little Pigs by John Davies and David Charles' (Your) Opera in a Trunk will be performed with an intermission between the two shows.

The cast is comprised of Pensacola Opera's 2006 Artists in Residence including Kimberly Monzon, soprano from Spokane, WA; Alissa Anderson, mezzo-soprano from San Antonio, Texas; Nicholas Larson, tenor from Eugene, Oregon; and Carlos Monzon, bass-baritone from Guadalajara, Mexico. These singers will be joined by Pensacola Opera's Coach/Accompanist, Blake Riley, from Nova Scotia, Canada, and Pensacola Opera's Director of Education and Community Outreach, Timothy Kennedy, from Baton Rouge, LA.

Learn Swing, Latin and Salsa Dance every Friday night

Lessons 8 p.m. Dance 9 11:30 p.m. Admission $5, alcohol and smoke-free, great family fun No partners needed, but bring friend anyway.
