GBHS alum’s child named finalist as Baby GAP model
Hensarling Jr. What can parents do to prove they produced the most adorable baby in the nation? Enter them into the Baby GAP casting call, of course!
Jon David Hensarling Jr., the 13-month-old son of 1987 Gulf Breeze High School grad Jon David Hensarling Sr. and Denise Hensarling, is one of 20 finalists in the nationwide baby beauty pageant. The retail giant partnered with Kodak and gave America the opportunity to vote for the cuddliest kid on the Kodak EasyShare website. Voters chose 10 male and 10 female finalists, ages 4 and under, out of 360,000 submitted photos.
Although the Hensarling family relocated to Raleigh, N.C. more than five years ago, David Sr. said he still feels a strong tie to the area.
“We want to share this exciting news with our friends and family in the Gulf Breeze and Pensacola areas and hopefully encourage people to vote for Jon David Jr.,” Hensarling said. “While little Jon has not had the good fortune to travel to the area yet, we look forward to showing him the beautiful town of Gulf Breeze, his dad’s Alma Mater Gulf Breeze High School, and to introducing him to its wonderful people.”
The polls are open to vote for your favorite baby mug until New Year’s Eve. After that, one boy and one girl will receive a prize package that includes a professional Baby GAP photo shoot. Their photograph will be featured in Child Magazine and in the window of their local Baby GAP store. The grand prize package also includes a $5,000 college fund, a $3,000 Baby GAP gift card and a digital camera from Kodak.
Visitors are limited to one vote per day per email address, and the winners will be announced in January.
“If you try to use the same email and vote more than once on the same day, you will be disqualified and not able to vote anymore,” the enthusiastic dad said. “So, no funny business! We need your daily vote!”
