The Christmas Dream - 1986
      "This article was written on my first every Christmas alone. It is dedicated to all those people that may have this experience this or any year. PB Elks move into new lodge
Another sign of recovery ... Elks lodge opens
      Finally, the day arrived. The new 10,000 square foot Elks Lodge was ready for members after Ivan destroyed their old lodge on September 15, 2004. Cruise away with Bubba next fall
      Join on a five-night Bubba cruise. The "Bubba and Friends Comedy Fan Cruise sets sail from New Orleans on Nov. 12, 2007, bound for Costa Maya, and Cozumel, Mexico on the Carnival Fantasy. "We are going to have some comedy surprises, I'm doing my comedy album, and we can have a ball in New Orleans the day before the sail and the day we return to New Orleans.

A celebration of faith
      The Pensacola Beach Community Church celebrated its 30th anniversary on Sunday, December 3. Louise Greenley, a charter member of the Beach Church, told of the beginnings of the church in the small building owned by the Pensacola Beach Woman's Club. Present at the celebration were two other charter members, Bill & Bobbie Leppin.

Christmas music planned for Sunday
      The choir of the Pensacola Beach Community Church, directed by Ros Leahy, and accompanied by Dr. Michael Plunkett, will present a Christmas Cantata on Sunday, December 10, during the 10 a.m. worship service. Lighted boat parade
      Boats festooned with lights and decorations lit up the night Saturday during the annual Lighted Boat parade. About 10 boats participated despite the chilly, windy weather. On Sunday, Santa rode on the fire truck then entertained Christmas wishes from many children.

Is there a bias against islanders?
      Once again the beach taxation issue comes up, and once again folks from all over are blasting residents with hate. I have heard some despicable things toward beach residents; I am infuriated to say the least. I do not get worked up over things, but this will be an exception.
