Baptist Health Care Foundation, Helping Hands award scholarships
Submitted Photo 35 scholarships totaling $35,000 were given to Baptist Health Care employees and their dependents. Baptist Health Care Foundation and the Helping Hands Employee Program recently awarded 35 scholarships totaling $35,000 to Baptist Heath Care employees and their dependents.
Many of the scholarship recipients are currently enrolled in health care related programs at Pensacola Junior College, the University of West Florida, Troy University, Okaloosa-Walton College and Jefferson Davis Community College.
"At Baptist Health Care we consider our people to be our greatest asset," said Katherine Champlin, director of development for Baptist Health Care Foundation. "Nothing makes us happier than seeing our employees and their families reach their full potential."
Former scholarship recipients continue to enjoy a wide variety of challenging careers with Baptist Health Care such as nursing, counseling, medical technology, physical therapy and social work.
