Wave finishes fourth
Gulf Breeze 8 year olds go 6-2 in 64team field
     The Gulf Breeze Wave won its first six games at the 8-yearold Dizzy Dean World Series, advancing to the semifinals, before losing two of its last three to finish fourth in the 64team field.

     Gulf Breeze High hired a new softball coach last week, although he's not all that new.

Football practice gets started
     Almost 100 young men donned Dolphin football helmets Monday for the first day of practice. The squad practiced in shorts and helmets Tuesday and Wednesday before breaking out the shoulder pads for the first time today.
