The idea was to challenge the children to read "100" books by a February 3rd in order to participate in a Super Bowl Party! The children were told if they met the goal they could wear their favorite team jersey, cheerleader uniform, or sports tshirt, invite their parents and have fun foods and treats the day of the party.

The challenge began and the children were encouraged in many ways by their teachers to read every day, take a book or three home. While having the Pizza Hut monthly goal for reading kept their spirits up as they were increasing their reading confidence, gaining the ability to recognize words by site and approaching their goal of one hundred. Everyone read diligently and the teachers think it will probably be worth repeating after Spring break too!
