Sorority gathers to celebrate sisterhood
      The Pensacola area Delta Gamma Fraternity Alumni Association held its Founders Day celebration on Sunday, March 7 at the historic Lee House on Bayfront Drive in Pensacola. Approximately 50 percent of these alumni live in the Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach area.

SoundWave Band plans big benefit rummage sale
      The Gulf Breeze High School SoundWave Band will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, March 20, from 8 a.m. to noon in the school parking lot. There will be furniture, household goods, clothing, games, toys and more. Proceeds will go to benefit the new band uniforms fund. Merchandise donations will be gratefully accepted Friday after 4 p.m. at GBHS band hall.

      Amnesty Day, which offers Santa Rosa County residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste at no charge, is Saturday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is not a recycle day, but a special day for disposal of household hazardous waste.

Hines, Kramer to wed in August
      Cecilia and Robert Hines of Gulf Breeze are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Rebecca Hines, to Nathaniel Owen Kramer of Gainesville. The couple plans to wed Aug. 14 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze. The prospective bride is a student at the University of Florida pursuing a degree in Education.

      The Community Drug and Alcohol Council (CDAC) is offering ‘Concepts of Domestic Violence: Focus on Wellness,’ a three-and-a-half-hour CEU course for clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, substance abuse professionals and other behavior health professionals.
