A Community Outreach Center for beach residents will open at Hunt Hall at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Pensacola Beach beginning Wednesday, April 13, 2005. According to Parish Administrator Sally Taylor, "The goal of the center is to help beach residents with their recovery efforts from Hurricane Ivan. We’ll have refreshments, a phone, fax and a copier available for residents and a message board to communicate about lost or found items."

The Community Outreach Center located within Hunt Hall at Our Lady will also be used for church worship by their neighbor church located across the street, the Pensacola Beach Community Church. Our Lady’s Church Council unanimously voted to offer Hunt Hall to the neighboring church’s Pastor Chuck Randle as a place to hold their services until repair can be made to their church building.

The Community Outreach Center at Our Lady will also offer use of the hall by arrangement for civic and association meetings. The Beach Optimist and Women’s Clubs and the Sabine and White Sands Homeowner’s Associations are some of the first to confirm use of the hall for their meetings. Our Lady is located at 920 Via de Luna Drive on Pensacola Beach.
